Nesting Instinct is a first-person game with the main objective being to go out and feed your baby squirrels that are sheltered within your nest during an ongoing storm. This game was developed for a university assignment, which the developers had to base the main theme of the game around the idea of 'home'.

Design: Daniel Buckley.

Programming: Tyson Wetton, Jayden Craig, Daniel Buckley.

Audio: Ronald De Guzman, Daniel Horvat, Heh Pray.

3D Models: Leo Ang, Saffron Stankiewicz.

Final Thoughts

It was great fun to finally work on a game and to see the process of how a game is developed. The game itself is short lived fun and I am content that they decided to use most of our sounds. Although, I would of loved to be more involved with implementing the sounds into the game myself but with the amount of time the team had to create and deliver this game, its understandable that they weren't able to import every sound. I could definitely use an improvement on my involvement and my own communication skills. My goal for future game projects is to learn more about how to program sounds into a game and becoming much more involved with game development to really grasp an understanding of how everything works. I've recently downloaded a program called FMOD which is a program specifically used to implement sounds into a game, I think by becoming more familiar with FMOD this could be an important first step to being able to program sounds into a game. To conclude this project, I would like to thank Daniel Buckely and his team for allowing me to be apart of the development for the sound of this game!
